[Desi Masala] It's Time You Learn to Break Free

If you do not bring forth what is within you, what is within you will
destroy you. The Gospel of St Thomas - Gnostic Gospels
Deep inside each of us is a little hidden place, a place of purity that
we still have not shared with the outside world. For some it might
appear as a little box with a lock and key. For others it might appear
as wings you choose not to open fully. We know what is inside these
places. It is where we conceal the best parts of ourselves. It is filled
with untouched light, wisdom and pure grace and innocence. It is where
we hide the teacher, the healer, and even the master. On occasion,
during spiritual openings, we become sharply aware of this place. It is
at these times that spirit is calling us, giving us an opportunity to
break free from the prison of limitations in which we have placed
ourselves.
Many of us have not exposed this special place to the world in this
lifetime or even through eons of lifetimes. We hide because we do not
feel the world is a safe place to reveal such private places. We have
been safeguarding this light for so long, protecting it from
contamination, saving it for some special time.. Many times if we are
aware of this special place, we choose not to acknowledge it, as it is
painful to realize the distance between how we are living and who we
truly are. So we block it from our minds, busying ourselves with related
pursuits and peripheral distractions. Some of us are even afraid of the
power in this place. In past lives we may have misused this light and
power. But the biggest reason we hide this special place is because we
will be naked and vulnerable to the world, and this scares us to our
very core.
Maybe in ages past it was appropriate to hide away while Earth and
humanity evolved. But times have changed. It is time to shine our light,
our truth, with the world. The fact is, that hiding away our God given
gifts is exactly what is keeping us from our destiny and our freedom
from limitation. Hiding away is what is keeping us from peace and
harmony and true living.
What if I told you that the world will never be a safe place. So quit
waiting. The fact is, until you release your gifts into the world, the
world will never reflect the safe place you have been waiting for! You
see the creative force of the universe is non-judgmental and reflects
back exactly what you share with the world. So if we only share part of
ourselves, we will only manifest part of our destiny; the rest will be
illusion. If we break free from our fears and release our complete
special light, wisdom and love, the universe will surround us with the
same. This means the quality of life we experience will equally reflect
the quality of light which we share. The experiences, people and events
in our lives will expand, become richer and offer more opportunities.
The more we expose our true selves, the more the universe reflects this
perfection back to us. If we want to manifest our life's destiny, we
must first put ourselves on the edge, break free and give that which is
inside of us. Understand that this takes courage and a willingness to
bare our soul.
I was sitting on a plane heading for Florida to speak at the Universal
Lightworkers Conference this past November. As always, I was working
over, or maybe I should say, sweating over, my notes and slide
presentation. As any honest conference presenter will tell you, public
speaking is very confronting, even for the well-seasoned speaker. Most
feel a deep responsibility to share something of benefit to those who
come to hear you speak.
As I looked over my notes, a soft voice inside of me said, "Toss the
notes - don't use the slides." What!…. Don't use my notes
and program I had spent so much time on. Again I heard inside, "Share
your heart… your passion. Share what you hide inside of you." At
this point the meltdown began and the panic set in full force...In spite
of the fear I was feeling, I knew spirit was giving me an opportunity to
expand myself. I also knew that what I decided in the next few days
would reflect to the Great Creator what I wanted in my life. If I
didn't take this opportunity, the Creator would see I did not want
opportunities for growth. The frightening dilemma was that this opening
was being orchestrated in front of hundreds of people at a conference.
Let's face it...I was out of my comfort zone. This was not the safe
place I was looking for to crack open the untouched depths on my soul!
Frantically I began to search for a way out of this dilemma. Maybe there
was a easier way, a safer way to do this. With no exit door in sight, I
began to search for the reason why I was so afraid. And there it was,
that little place inside of me. The place I had worked long and hard to
break free. This is what spirit wanted me to release. And in this moment
I had no clue how the open the door to release myself.
Once I arrived in Florida, I knew I was in for a life-transforming
weekend. Deep inside myself I could feel my soul wanting this more than
anything I wanted in a long time. I didn't want to lose this
opportunity to a fear of revealing myself. So at a Thursday night
conference speaker meeting I shared my situation. I was surrounded by
some of the most positive and profound spiritual speakers of this
time...Gregg Braden, Jon Marc Hammer, James Twyman, Ken Page and
especially the masterful conference organizers Karen Schieb and Robin
Rose...to name only a few. This in itself was scary. I knew once I
shared this with them, I knew there would be no retreating back inside
to hide. I purposely put myself on the edge. These meetings are used to
set the tone for the conference and to anchor intentions. So I shared my
intentions and revealed my deep desire to break free and "wing it"
during my presentation. This is it, I thought...once I reveal my
frailties to these folks, I'll never be invited back to this
conference. This fear nagged me over and over.
What happened next was the most beautiful,, yet terrifying experience I
have had in recent years. Not only did I receive the impassioned support
of the speakers, but found that I had set the tone for the conference.
Oh wow...Now I am really going to have to do this. I had 2 days to be
tortured by my fears before I had the stage on Sunday morning to bear my
soul. In these two days the speakers would said. "I can hardly wait to
hear you speak." "I know I am going to learn things from you this
weekend." "You can do this." Their support became awesome pressure, like
a cosmic crowbar, to break loose what was inside of me. Because of my
sharing, I had taken the first step in breaking free. The universe had
heard my call and was supplying the force needed to get the job done.
There was no going back now. The speakers wouldn't let me, nor would
the universe.
When Sunday morning came and I was called on stage, the audience had
been primed by the previous speakers for what I was about to do. It was
the most real moment I had ever experienced with 400 people
simultaneously. It didn't matter what I did or what I said. What was
important was my willingness and absolute dedication to be free and
fully present and share my heart. I watched my sharing ricochet through
our the crowd and inspire everyone to do the same. I knew I had changed
my destiny and was taking a first major step in breaking free. I became
more of my natural myself.
After my soul baring experience, I thought that the door might close
again…. It hasn't. The ripples inside are radiating out further
and further, opening other doors I had forgotten about. I feel more
happy, free and clear than I have in a long time. The gratefulness
growing inside of me is overwhelming. I am filled with love for all
those around me and I am GREATFUL to be ALIVE!
Year ago when I first touched this place inside, I used to feel that If
I shared it, I would destroy the Earth because it was so powerful. Now I
feel if I don't share it I could destroy the Earth. We are all one,
and what I experience in life, you also experience. How you live also
effects me. The reverse is true. If I hold back, everyone around me will
hold back. I know we would not want to be responsible for holding back
someone's spiritual growth.
I do not share this with you to say I am uniquely special. I am no
different than you. We are all incredible beings of light. And I know
that if an opportunity to break free has come for me, it has also come
for you. So right here...right now...I challenge you to break free! What
are you waiting for? If I can do it, YOU CAN TOO. Challenge yourself and
put yourself in the edge and in the position where there is no turning
back. Race forward, go for it. We have nothing to loose.
I also share this story because I never want to retreat back to that
cramped little place inside of myself ever again. And I am hoping that
all of you out there will never let me hide again. Let us commit to help
each and everyone of us to break free once and for all.
Encourage your friends and love yourself enough to really let your light
shine. It is the way to all your dreams! The key to opening the door to
the best, lightest, most abundant life experience is your desire to do
so and most of all taking that first step. You all know what the next
Big step is for you...Come on, you can do it...You are READY! AJY
